Once I arrived in Holyhead I started making my way to Dover.
It was hot in England today, 27°C so at 4pm I decided to do some grocery shopping and find a campground.
Some of the campgrounds in England can be expensive. I managed to find one for a very reasonable price in Clent Hills, south of Birmingham.
I was up again at the crack of dawn, 5am to be precise. It was a very dewy morning so the tent was wet. As I was packing, I watched the squirrels frolicking about, the birds chirping and all was well with the world !!!……until one of the birds made a huge deposit on my tent. Nice clean up job for me, made easier by having a wet tent though. There’s always a positive if you look for it
I was away at 5:45am all motorways, the M5 had roadworks, slow in places, the M25, that’s the road to London was at snails pace. I was able to ride alongside the traffic to arrive in Dover an hour before checking in time at the ferry terminal.
I grabbed a coffee and then filled the tank with petrol (cheaper in England than France)the petrol and the coffee!!!
It was another hot day today, swealtering waiting to board. The ferry left late, so I arrived in Dunkirk at 4pm.
Headed to a campground and pitched up for the day.
